Auto Buds |
Welcome to Auto Buds. The place for auto buds. Auto Buds are two cars of the same make, model, color, or as identical as possible, that are parked right next to each other or in close proximity. Think you found some auto buds? Take a pic and send it to: autobuds@gmail.com. If we decide they're auto buds, they'll appear on Auto Buds. Let us know the city where you saw the auto buds. |
Here’s another nice collection of buds in action.

Thanks to Andrew in California for the black Honda CRV’s. Bonus points that the photo was taken from inside a black CRV.

Thanks to Gabe in Atlanta for the maroon Muranos spotted northbound on GA 400.

Thanks to Sara in Tempe, AZ, for the nice shot of a couple maroon Nissan XTerras.

Thanks to alch3mlst in San Diego for the Tacoma’s.

Thanks to Mitch in CA for these two nice road pics.

Thanks to Abe in Toronto, Canada, for the Mazda’s.

Thanks to Wendy in Tallahassee, FL, for the Kia Souls.

There’s something a little suspicious to us about this one, but we’re posting it. Thanks to Elisabeth from the Baltimore beltway.

Thanks to Leanne in Hyannis, MA, for the Buick Enclaves on South St.

Thanks to Anna in Oklahoma City, OK, for what we believe is our first pair of buds captured at a drive-thru.

We get submissions where people admit they parked next to the other car to create a pair of buds. We try to avoid those, it’s a bit nicer when it feels like the buds were stumbled upon or spotted as opposed to manufactured. But when you’re driving around in your ‘99 maroon Pathfinder and spot a pair of ‘99 maroon Pathfinders and park next to them, that’s different, and we’ll gladly post that. Thanks to Dman in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.
We’ve received some great shots of buds on the road. Here’s a bunch.

Thanks to Sarah from VA, in Outer Banks, NC, for catching these yellow Chevys in action. Different detailing and spoilers, but who cares when they both have spoilers.

Thanks to JR in Kennesaw, GA, for the silver Prius road buds.

Thanks to Pierre in Chicago for the Monte Carlos.

Julie on the road in Massachusetts called her pic of these Toyota Highlanders “terrible”. We’re trying to figure out what’s not perfect about it.

Thanks to Serge in Santa Monica, CA, for catching these 328i’s on the 10.

Thanks to Rebecca in Portland, OR, for the Limited Edition PT’s.

Thanks to Megan in Beverly Hills. Added bonus that the pic was taken from inside a black Range Rover.

Thanks to Stacy in Highland, MI, for the “Grand Prix dbags” who were racing down M59 and cut her off. Maybe they’re not dbags, Stacy. Maybe they were just excited upon seeing each other and were trying to get right next to each other for the photo.

Thanks to Paul in Grand Rapids, MI, for the Chrysler Pacificas.

Thanks to Murray in Tsawwassen, BC, for the Toyota Previa’s. Nice back window view.

Thanks to Daniel in beautiful Hawai’i Nei, Hawaii, for the great shots of a couple Rav-4’s in “typical 1730 eastbound traffic on the H-1 freeway”. We are enjoying the UFO in the first shot and the H1 sign in the second shot.

Thanks to Gideon in Alpharetta, GA, for the wet Acura MDX’s.

Blurry, but we’ll take it. Thanks to Michael in Youngstown, OH, for the Kia Souls.

Thanks to Tania in London, Ontario, for these nice pics of a couple Dodge Grand Caravans. Here’s some nice details from Tania: ”Myself and a couple friends were partaking in some Sunday Driving when I spotted a fellow minivan lover. So, I followed my instincts and followed my twin until we scored a red light and some pals in the back seat jumped out to snap a picture while waiting for the light to change! If you look carefully in the first photo there are three! A silver bud heading in a different direction- thanks you auto bud goddess!” Whether you think the Auto Bud deity is a male or female or it, we can probably all agree that Tania made the right move in following another bud to get the pic. Kudos to her soldiers in the Auto Bud army for jumping out and getting the shot.

Thanks to Patrick in Flint, MI, for the 2011 Chrysler 300’s, spotted on I-75 North near Holly, Michigan. At the time he sent his email, Patrick told us “These black twins are sporting manufacturers license plates. The 2011 300 isn’t available in dealerships in this area yet so these are a rare find…for now.” Nicely done on the details, Patrick. Nicely done.

It’s always exciting to get international submissions and know that the magic of Auto Buds spans oceans and continents and cultures. Auto Buds are the true universal language. Thanks to Will in Krakow, Poland, for the Maluchs. This dad obviously takes his kids to look for buds every weekend. It’s the main reason he got divorced, but it was obviously worth it as you can tell from their body language that the kids couldn’t be happier to finally see a pair of auto buds in person.

Thanks to Evan in Toronto, Canada, for the “Forresters…in the forest”. Evan tells us that he “was planting trees out of Prince George, British Columbia, and these buds happened to be parked next to each other in the camp (he) was staying at. It was a pretty beautiful sight.” Beautiful indeed, Evan. Style points for the bottle of juice on the roof.

Here’s one for fun! Thanks to Alec for sending. Nicely done leaving up the DVR time thingy.

Thanks to Cameron in Portland, OR, for the Audi Q5s outside Hot Pot City. Let’s hope these cutesters headed to La Vie Nails after for a mani/pedi/budi.

A pair of of gold Impalas in front of a JC Penneys is basically guaranteed to make the Auto Buds site. But when Patrick in Burton, MI, told us that he went around for a second angle and spotted a black Impala right behind the gold ones,

and then spotted another black Impala when he went around for yet another angle, giving us 2 pair of Impalas out front of a JC Penneys,

that pretty much double sealed an already sealed deal.

Thanks to Ryan in Sarasota, FL, for the Chrysler 300’s. They were either B-blocked, or shy. Either way, we are enjoying the ice machine between the two, playing it cool, trying not to stare at a perfect pair of buds. Fire extinguisher’s all, like, “Daaaaaamn.”
