BUDS IN ACTION 2
Here’s another nice collection of buds in action.
Thanks to Andrew in California for the black Honda CRV’s. Bonus points that the photo was taken from inside a black CRV.
Thanks to Gabe in Atlanta for the maroon Muranos spotted northbound on GA 400.
Thanks to Sara in Tempe, AZ, for the nice shot of a couple maroon Nissan XTerras.
Thanks to alch3mlst in San Diego for the...
DRIVE-THRU
Thanks to Anna in Oklahoma City, OK, for what we believe is our first pair of buds captured at a drive-thru.
AND BUD MAKES THREE
We get submissions where people admit they parked next to the other car to create a pair of buds. We try to avoid those, it’s a bit nicer when it feels like the buds were stumbled upon or spotted as opposed to manufactured. But when you’re driving around in your ‘99 maroon Pathfinder and spot a pair of ‘99 maroon Pathfinders and park next to them, that’s...
BUDS IN ACTION
We’ve received some great shots of buds on the road. Here’s a bunch.
Thanks to Sarah from VA, in Outer Banks, NC, for catching these yellow Chevys in action. Different detailing and spoilers, but who cares when they both have spoilers.
Thanks to JR in Kennesaw, GA, for the silver Prius road buds.
Thanks to Pierre in Chicago for the Monte Carlos.
Julie on the road in...
POLISH BUDS
It’s always exciting to get international submissions and know that the magic of Auto Buds spans oceans and continents and cultures. Auto Buds are the true universal language. Thanks to Will in Krakow, Poland, for the Maluchs. This dad obviously takes his kids to look for buds every weekend. It’s the main reason he got divorced, but it was obviously worth it as you can tell from...
IF A BUD PARKS IN THE FOREST
Thanks to Evan in Toronto, Canada, for the “Forresters…in the forest”. Evan tells us that he “was planting trees out of Prince George, British Columbia, and these buds happened to be parked next to each other in the camp (he) was staying at. It was a pretty beautiful sight.” Beautiful indeed, Evan. Style points for the bottle of juice on the roof.
ART IMITATES BUDS
Here’s one for fun! Thanks to Alec for sending. Nicely done leaving up the DVR time thingy.
BUDLANDIA
Thanks to Cameron in Portland, OR, for the Audi Q5s outside Hot Pot City. Let’s hope these cutesters headed to La Vie Nails after for a mani/pedi/budi.
THERE'S BUDS AT PENNEYS
A pair of of gold Impalas in front of a JC Penneys is basically guaranteed to make the Auto Buds site. But when Patrick in Burton, MI, told us that he went around for a second angle and spotted a black Impala right behind the gold ones,
and then spotted another black Impala when he went around for yet another angle, giving us 2 pair of Impalas out front of a JC Penneys,
that pretty much...
BUDS 'N' ICE
Thanks to Ryan in Sarasota, FL, for the Chrysler 300’s. They were either B-blocked, or shy. Either way, we are enjoying the ice machine between the two, playing it cool, trying not to stare at a perfect pair of buds. Fire extinguisher’s all, like, “Daaaaaamn.”
BROOKLYN BUDS
Thanks to Clay in Brooklyn, NY, for the orange GTI’s. He tells us they’ve been in the same neighborhood for years, he finally caught them together. Sometimes you need the patience of a sniper to get a shot of some buds.
SCION BUDS
Thanks to Januari in Irvine, CA, for the pic of some interesting looking Scions. Even the trash had to bow down in reverence to this pair. Bonus points for the NERDLYF license plate, and for the almost matching foliage in the background that kind of looks like bud hair.
BUDS ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR
We have gotten a lot of great pics of buds in action, and are compiling a bunch into one posting that will go up at some point. But some photos are so good, they deserve their own post. Like this one. Thanks to Todd in Springfield, MO, for this great shot. From Todd:
“…they were behind me for quite a while allowing us to take several shots yielding this one, which is my...
BUD HANG AT HOME DEEP
Thanks to Carl in Milford, CT, for the Ford Explorers. Style points and details like a Five Guys cup on the bumper always help get your pic picked.
BUDDARD, SEATTLE
Thanks to Bill in Seattle for the Subarus, taken, as Bill calls it, “just outside the local hipster mecca that is Kings Hardware/Rudy’s Barbershop.” Subaru on the right isn’t a bud, but nice that it’s trying. We’re also liking, from l to r, #10, guy calling his mom, yellow tank top, and guy reading beer list.
Thanks to our friend Steve in LA for sending this nice pic. Here’s what he had to say:
“I was very excited to look out my hotel window here in Joshua Tree, California and see two white Ford Rangers parked side by side in an Autozone parking lot.”
We can’t tell if these are Auto Zone employee trucks or something, in which case it wouldn’t count. But we like the...
IT WAS MEANT TO BUD
Thanks to Antoine in La villeneuve / Grenoble / France, for the electric green Peugeot 307’s. Here’s what he had to say:
“This morning, I was on the bus to go to work. I was reading a book and I missed my stop. I had to walk 1 mile, but I was rewarded…”
We all were rewarded, Antoine. We all were.
W.T.B.???
What’s up with all the auto buds in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada??? Thanks to Michael for sending this shot of a couple Kia Souls taken outside Fernando’s Taqueria.
BUDHEART
Thanks to Bryce in Perth, Scotland, for the pic of the 1992 Nissan Micra’s. We love the grills, and it’s our guess that we’ll never get another pic of a pair of Micra’s. Added bonuses for the photo being taken in 2005, and for the 1997 Renault Megane c-block. Which should probably be called b-block. Bud block.
Enjoying the shopping cart separating these two Mazda G25’s. Also enjoying “Hair Cuttery”. Thanks to Joshua in Gainseville, FL.
DON'T BUD AND DRIVE
Enjoyed this pic knowing that the drivers of a pair of buds are inside getting wasted on hot sake. Hopefully they got matching cabs home. Thanks to Tim in Portland, OR.
LONG TIME, NO BUDS
Many apologies from all of us here at Auto Buds for the lack of updates on what has probably been many months at this point. As Xavier: Renegade Angel would say: ”Liiiiiiife.”
In any case, we’ve been our usual busy and lazy selves, but have found some time to get back into it, hopefully somewhat consistently. Thanks to all that have still been sending in submissions. We...
